BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado tourism officials say they will not actively promote the state's legal marijuana industry for now.

Colorado Tourism Office director Cathy Ritter says the state tourism web site may provide information advising people about the legalities of the state's marijuana laws.

Ritter tells the Denver Post the state cannot promote marijuana because it would be a violation of federal law.

She says even if it were allowed, the state would not promote marijuana because it's not a major attraction for travelers.
