BOULDER, Colo. - The CEO of a Denver-based marijuana venture capital group wants to start farmers market for pot in Boulder, the Daily Camera reports.
Justin Hartfield, CEO of weedmaps.com, told the Camera that Boulder would be the "perfect place" for the proposal to go through.
But city attorneys say it's not going to happen.
Boulder attorney Jeff Gard, who represents many marijuana businesses, was blunt with the Camera.
"There's not going to be a farmers market," he said. "You're not going to be able to buy weed off the street. That's drug dealing. They've made a very clear distinction (in state law)."
