Man walks from Aurora to Denver after being shot multiple times

Denver police, Aurora police called to scene

DENVER - A man with multiple gunshot wounds was found early Sunday morning after police respond to a report of shots fired.

The man was found on the side of Yosemite Street, between East 11th and East 12th avenues, right on the Denver-Aurora border.

He was "gravely" injured, but combative when officers tried to help him, police said. He was transported to the hospital. His condition has not been released.

Officers from both Denver and Aurora police departments were called to the scene. Denver police later said that the preliminary investigation of the shooting  revealed that the incident occurred on the Aurora side of the street but the man walked to the Denver side before collapsing.

Aurora police said the victim may have attended a party that was in the area, prior to being shot.

Police impounded a sedan in Green Valley that may be connected to the shooting.  They were waiting on a search warrant for the house.
