LISBON, Maine - A man wanted in Gilpin County on sexual exploitation charges of a child has been arrested 2,100 miles away in Maine.
Officers arrested Scott Helms, 48, in Lisbon, Maine on a fugitive from justice charge this week.
Police say Helms is wanted by the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office on three felony counts of Internet sexual exploitation of a child and two felony counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child.
In his Facebook profile, Helms describes himself as a "senior minister" with an online church that claims to work with the homeless, veterans and troubled teens, according to the Lewiston-Auburn Sun Journal.
Helms is being held on $10,000 cash bail.
Police say Helms has lived in Lisbon for several years. They did not disclose the exact nature of the alleged offenses.
