Man tries to abduct woman outside Castle Rock apartment complex, police say

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Police in Castle Rock are asking for the public's help as they search for a man wanted in connection with an attempted abduction Friday morning.

The incident occurred at about 8 a.m. at The Pines at Castle Rock apartment complex on the 6200 block of Castlegate Drive.

According to police, a 21-year-old woman was putting her baby in the backseat of the car when a man raced up behind her.

The man attempted to force the woman inside the car, but the woman braced herself, screamed and then punched the suspect in the face.

Police said the man ran through the apartment complex in the general direction of the Outlets at Castle Rock.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 5-feet-5-inches tall and 150 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and light-colored blue jeans with grass stains on the knees.
