Man trapped, killed by 2 tons of glass ID'd

Jason Lee Nolte killed Saturday in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. - Authorities have identified a 31-year-old man who died after he was pinned by two tons of glass in two wooden crates at a window company in Aurora.

The Adams County Coroner's Office said Tuesday that Jason Lee Nolte was killed in Saturday's work-related accident at Manko Window Systems, 17500 E 22nd Ave.  Nolte was a production manager at the company.

Capt. Diane Lord of the Aurora Fire Department said Saturday the victim was helping unload the crates of glass at the business, but it's unclear if he was using equipment in the process. No one else was injured.

She said crews responded to a call at 8:35 a.m. Saturday and found the man trapped in a trailer. Rescuers helped extricate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the workplace death.
