A man who was stabbed to death in the Capitol Hill area early Friday has been identified.
Police responded to the Pennsylvania Street near 13th Avenue on a report of a stabbing at 2:17 a.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found an man suffering from apparent sharp force injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
On Saturday, the victim was identified as 28-year-old Ryan Haldeman.
The suspect in the case is described as a black male, between 20 to 45 years of age, 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a dark complexion and salt and pepper facial stubble. He was wearing a blue or black coat and white pants at the time of the incident.
The suspect was last seen running from the area in a northwest direction through the parking lot and westbound on East 14th Avenue.
