AURORA, Colo. - Aurora police are investigating a fatal stabbing in the 4200 block of Quintero Court that was reported Saturday morning.
The preliminary investigation revealed that two men got into an altercation inside the house where one retrieved a knife and stabbed the other multiple times. The suspect then left the house on foot. Other people were inside the home at the time. It is unclear how the parties involved and the other people in the house knew each other.
The Major Crime Homicide Unit responded and took over the investigation. Detectives are conducting several interviews and seeking a search warrant for the house. Police will remain at the scene for most of the day and conduct a search for evidence when the warrant is granted.
The suspect is being held for investigation of first degree murder and will be held without bond. His arrest photo will not be released, as investigators may need to conduct photo line-ups. He is believed to be in his 30s.
The victim's identity has not been released, but he was in his 20s.
