Man stabbed in the back in west Denver overnight

DENVER - A man was stabbed in the back in west Denver overnight.

Denver Police Department officers were investigating the situation at 260 Quitman Street at about 1 a.m. That's several blocks southeast of Sheridan Boulevard and 6th Avenue.

The man is expected to survive, according to police.

An officer at the scene told 7NEWS Photojournalist Pete Burd they found the man's "significant other" nearby and she had been beat up. Investigators were still working to determine whether there was a connection.
