Man shot to death outside Aurora liquor store Sunday night

Suspect vehicle located and impounded Monday

AURORA, Colo. - Police are searching for several people after a man was shot to death outside a liquor store at E. Smoky Hill Rd. and S. Chambers Rd. in Aurora Sunday night.

When officers arrived at about 8:25 p.m. they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Police tweeted that they are looking for two or three men seen leaving Smoky Hill Liquor in a light-colored car.

"After interviewing witnesses, investigators were able identify a possible suspect vehicle in this case," police said Monday morning. "It was located and impounded earlier this morning."

"Investigators continue to interview other witnesses and associates in an attempt to identify the shooter and occupant(s) of the car," police said. 

The only suspect description police have provided is a black male in his late teens or early twenties.
