Man shot in leg after bars close in Lower Downtown

DENVER - Denver police are trying to track down a suspect who bolted after shooting a man in the leg at 15th and Market Streets early Saturday morning, police say.

The leg injury is not life threatening, said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman. The name of the victim, who was in his early 20s, has not been released.

"His prognosis is good," Jackson said.

It's unclear what led to the shooting at 2:30 a.m., a half hour after closing at several nightclubs in Lodo. The victim was walking when he was shot, Jackson said.
