ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – A man is in the hospital in critical condition after he was shot by someone who broke into his home early Monday.
Police said they received a call about a home invasion at a four-plex near South Lincoln and Hampden around 3 a.m. The suspect entered through the front door of the home and shot a man inside, police said.
The victim, an unidentified man in his 50s, was taken to Swedish Medical Center, police said. A woman inside the home wasn't hurt, officers said.
The shooting suspect, a male, took off before police arrived. Officers said they're still looking for him. Police did not provide a description.
