ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. - A deputy shot a man inside a home Friday morning while serving a search warrant, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
The SWAT team was executing the search warrant at a home on Corona Street at 7:30 a.m., when the shooting happened, sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Paul Gregory said.
Gregory said the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Gregory did not know what the search warrant was for.
Witnesses told 7NEWS they saw an armored vehicle and a caravan of police cars go the house and minutes later they heard a loud boom and multiple shots.
"It was very scary, just like on TV, but for real," said Don and Laura Burton.
No deputies were injured, Gregory said.
Witnesses told 7NEWS they saw police bring one baby in diapers out of the house.
