DENVER - Prosecutors have charged a 21-year-old man in connection with a shooting in Denver that left one person dead and two others injured.
The Denver District Attorney's Office announced Monday that Tayvon Martin has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder for the June 22 shooting.
Martin is accused of killing 21-year-old Gabriel Scott during a confrontation south of City Park. A 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were also shot but survived.
Authorities say Martin fled the state but returned and was arrested in Denver on Feb. 3.
