Man involved in anti-gay, anti-Latino assault at Denver's Bible Park

DENVER - Denver police are looking for a man who approached another man at a local park and assaulted him with a handgun, while yelling slurs.

According to police, it happened on March 29, at 5 p.m., at James A. Bible Park, located at South Tamarac Drive and Eastman Avenue.

The 43-year-old victim said he was approached by a man who berated him with both anti-Latino and anti-gay slurs.  The suspect then assaulted and threatened him with a black handgun.

Police said the suspect is described as a white male, between 38 and 45 years of age, approximately 5-feet 11-inches tall, with close-shaved hair and a tattoo of two crossed swords or knives on his forearm.

The suspect was driving a white, newer model Volvo sedan.
