COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A man accused in the death of his ex-wife's suspected lover and of trying to kill a judge and attorney involved in his divorce case has been sentenced to prison for witness tampering and perjury.

Bruce Joseph Nozolino was sentenced Wednesday to a total of 21 years in prison in the separate witness tampering and perjury cases. He received a 16-year sentence on four counts of witness tampering and a five-year sentence on a perjury conviction, with a judge ordering the sentences to be served consecutively.

Prosecutors said Nozolino tried to influence people who were called to testify before a grand jury that was investigating him.

The Gazette reports Nozolino is awaiting trial on charges related to a 2008 shooting death and attacks on an attorney and judge.
