Man drowns in Tabor Lake in Wheat Ridge

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Paramedics removed a drowning victim from Tabor Lake in Wheat Ridge Monday.

Crews from the Arvada Fire Department were called to the lake, near West 44th Avenue and Ward Road, on a report of a man drowning Monday afternoon.

When crews arrived, paramedics rescued the man from the water but were not able to resuscitate him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s not known how the man ended up in the water. Firefighters said there was no indication he was boating.

Wheat Ridge police are investigating the incident. The victim’s name has not been released.
