Man dies from multiple stab wounds, Colorado Springs police arrest suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A man died after being stabbed multiple times in Colorado Springs early Sunday morning and police had a suspect in custody by afternoon.

The suspect in the investigation was later located and taken into custody.  He was identified by police as Michael Jonathan Ray, a-32-year-old man from Georgia.  Ray was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder.

The victim was identified as Patrick Hampton, 31, from Tennessee.  

The victim was found in a parking lot near North Academy Boulevard and Voyager Parkway at about 4:15 a.m. Police said he was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
