PUEBLO, Colo. – Police in Pueblo are looking for a man who they say may have been trying to kidnap a sleeping 2-year-old child from her home early Friday morning.

The child’s 23-year-old father called police to the home around 1 a.m. The house is located in the 2000 block of West Street in Pueblo.

The man told police that he was watching television in the front of the home when he heard his daughter talking and an unfamiliar voice coming from the child’s bedroom.

When he opened his daughter`s bedroom door, he noticed his daughter was crying in her bed and hugging a stuffed animal. The man said at the same time he heard the cooling fan fall from the bedroom window and noticed an arm reaching inside the bedroom through the window.

Police say the man immediately grabbed his daughter and took her to another bedroom where he called police. He reported to police that the screen on his daughter’s window was slightly removed.

Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect. The father said the man who he spotted reaching into the bedroom had a spider web tattoo on his right elbow and a Superman-like tattoo with the letter "S" logo on his forearm.
