Man arrested in Englewood after assaults

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - A 24-year-old man is facing felony charges after Englewood Police said he assaulted his girlfriend and a homeowner Friday evening.

Police said officers were called to the 1800 block of East Girard Avenue at 6:44 p.m. after a 26-year-old women said her boyfriend attacked her during an argument.

Police said the boyfriend ran from the apartment complex and broke into a home in the 2200 block of East Dartmouth Circle where he also assaulted the homeowner.

When the suspect left the home, he was taken into custody by police.

The man was not named by police but they said he faces numerous felonies, including second-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
