Man arrested in armed robbery of Dairy Queen in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Lakewood police have arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of a Dairy Queen on Wednesday morning.

Police received a report at 11:17 a.m. that a man had robbed store clerks at gunpoint at the Dairy Queen located at 1525 S. Sheridan Blvd, said Lakewood Police spokesman Steve Davis. No customers were in the store at the time.

The suspect was later caught west of the Dairy Queen, Davis said. Police also recovered what appears to be a pellet gun that investigators suspect was used in the robbery.
