Man arrested for threats to Centaurus HS

A man is accused of making threatening telephone calls triggered a lockout three schools.

Multiple threatening telephone were made by an unknown male to Centaurus High School around 9 a.m. Friday, according to commander Brian Rosipajla with the Lafayette Police Department.

The Centaurus and nearby Angevine Middle and Ryan Elementary schools were placed in lockout and surrounding law enforcement agencies helped secure the schools.

The investigation into the threats lead police to an adult male in the city of Arvada. He was arrested around 1:45 p.m. and the lockouts were lifted.

Police are not releasing the man's name at this time.

The case was  still under investigation.
