A 75-year-old man accused of harassing two cyclists in Boulder County says all he did was honk his horn at them.

The Times-Call reports James Ernst of Erie appeared in court Friday without a lawyer and told a judge he wants a plea deal.

He was ticketed last year after the cyclists posted an online video of an SUV driver honking the horn at them almost continuously while driving just behind them.

Ernst is charged with two misdemeanor counts of harassment, two counts of illegal use of a horn, and two counts of driving too slowly. He is due back in court Feb. 14 for a case management conference.
