COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police have arrested a 28-year-old man accused of dangling a 3-year-old boy from a third-floor balcony.

Officer were called to an apartment complex in the 3900 block of E. Bijou Street Friday after neighbors reported that three children were in the care of an intoxicated man.

Officers say they checked on the man, identified as Mario Flores, and as they were leaving they saw him dangle the child over the balcony railing.  Two other officers ran upstairs as the man pulled the boy into his apartment.  They were able to secure the child and take Flores into custody.

Flores was arrested on investigation of child abuse and reckless endangerment. The child was not hurt.
