Lyons kicks off Bluegrass festival after recovering from devastating floods

LYONS, Colo. - The Town of Lyons is welcoming back its annual summer Bluegrass festival almost a year after the St. Vrain River tore through the town devastating the Planet Bluegrass Ranch.

The day after the flood, the ranch vowed to rebuild better than ever, just in time for record-setting ticket sales for the 42nd Annual RockyGrass festival, being held from Friday through Sunday.

According to organizers, the audience at the festival is treated to headliner after headliner on the main stage, and then campgrounds come alive with jam sessions.
