DENVER - Authorities say a 66-year-old man died in a two-alarm fire at his Loveland home overnight.
The Larimer County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Thomas J. Barminski. An autopsy determined he died from smoke inhalation and burns. The death was ruled an accident.
Loveland Fire Rescue Authority firefighters were called to the house fire at 809 S. Del Norte Ave. at 11:29 p.m. Sunday, said city spokesman Tom Hacker.
Arriving firefighters found a single-family ranch house engulfed in fire, Hacker said.
At 12:23 a.m., the fire was controlled and Barminki's body was found near the rear of the house, Hacker said.
The fire heavily damaged the home, part of a neighboring home's garage and a vehicle, Hacker said.
Fire and police investigators have not determined the fire's cause.
