A 15-year-old girl from Louisville who was missing after a car crash Monday has been found safe in Utah.
Rachel Gooding-Lord was in a car that rolled on Interstate 70 near the Bakersfield exit in the mountains, according to Louisville police.
Gooding-Lord tried to run away by stealing her family's minivan and driving west on I-70, according to Elizabeth Ryterski, who identified herself as a family friend.
Louisville called Gooding-Lord's parents at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday to let them know she had been found.
Her mother, Anne Gooding, said they still don't know how she got there.
At 5 a.m. Gooding said she was on her way to Utah to pick up her daughter.
