Louisville teen Rachel Gooding-Lord missing after crash on I-70 found safe in Utah

Parents still not sure how she got there

A 15-year-old girl from Louisville who was missing after a car crash Monday has been found safe in Utah.

Rachel Gooding-Lord was in a car that rolled on Interstate 70 near the Bakersfield exit in the mountains, according to Louisville police.

Gooding-Lord tried to run away by stealing her family's minivan and driving west on I-70, according to Elizabeth Ryterski, who identified herself as a family friend.

Louisville called Gooding-Lord's parents at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday to let them know she  had been found.

Her mother, Anne Gooding, said they still don't know how she got there.

At 5 a.m. Gooding said she was on her way to Utah to pick up her daughter.
