While in San Francisco to cover the Super Bowl 50 festivities, Denver7's Lisa Hidalgo and Eric Lupher decided to do a little training for the Fight for Air Climb.

Participants in the Fight for Air Climb raise funds to support the American Lung Association while training to climb the stairs of a skyscraper, stadium, or other landmark building.

Lisa challenged Eric to climb the Filbert Steps to the base of Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill.

Always a good sport, Eric agreed.

Then he found out it is it more than 400 steps to the top.

The steps wind up and through the Grace Marchant Garden, but this was not the time to stop and smell the flowers!

You can probably guess who made it to the top first.

(The real champ was photojournalist Adam Stevens, who climbed all the stairs carrying the camera and about 40 pounds of gear!)

And, of course, the view from the top was incredible.

The Fight for Air Climb is taking place in cities across the country this month. In Denver, the climb will start at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 21 at Republic Plaza. The goal is to raise $410,000.
