Limited bus service resumes in Boulder Canyon between Nederland and Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. - While Highway 119 in Boulder Canyon may not open for a few more weeks, RTD is now running four buses a day through the canyon.
Starting Monday, RTD said it is running two buses from Nederland to Boulder each morning, and two buses from Boulder back to Nederland each evening.
The buses will leave Nederland High School at 6:48 a.m. and the Nederland Park-n-Ride at 6:55 a.m. The buses should arrive in Boulder at 7:27 a.m.
In the evening, buses will leave Boulder's Transit Center at 5:40 p.m. and arrive at the Nederland Park-n-Ride are 6:15 p.m. and Nederland High School 6:20 p.m.
Colorado State Patrol troopers will be escorting the buses.

Other than the buses and construction traffic, Highway 119 is closed for repair work after the flooding. It is tentatively scheduled to reopen in mid-to-late October.
