BROOMFIELD, Colo. – The Legacy High School varsity football team will indeed play its homecoming game Friday against Prairie View.

The game had been up in the air after several Legacy coaches and players were injured in a bus crash at Denver International Airport that also killed the driver.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at North Stadium. The school says all of its athletes will be checked by the high school’s athletic trainer, who is also a sports medicine staff member at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. No athletes will play without being cleared.

The junior varsity game has been canceled however.

Support continues to come in for all affected by the crash.

GoFundMe pages have been set up for the family of Kari Chopper, the driver killed in the crash, as well as Legacy’s coaches.
