BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Legacy High School’s head football coach will be back on the sidelines this week for practice and Friday’s game at Overland.

Coach Wayne Voorhees was among several coaches hospitalized after a bus crash at Denver International Airport that killed the bus driver.

Voorhees and another coach, Kyle Rider, were released from the hospital Sept. 13, two days after the crash.

He is expected to hold a news conference ahead of practice Wednesday to discuss his recovery, his team and the overwhelming support he and the Legacy team have received from the community.

Matt Craddock has served as the interim head coach during Voorhees’ recovery. The Lightning has won both of its games during that time.
