DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Tuesday, October 3.

1. Who were the 59 people?
We’re learning more about the nearly 60 victims killed in Sunday night’s mass shooting in Las Vegas. More names are expected to surface Tuesday. A Navy veteran from Denver is among those named so far.

2. Who the Las Vegas gunman was
Stephen Paddock was a multimillionaire real-estate investor who liked to travel to Las Vegas to play high-stakes video poker. Public records offered no hint of financial distress or criminal history.

3. Mayor Michael Hancock launches The Outdoor Downtown Plan
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock along with other city officials and community partners, celebrate the launch of The Outdoor Downtown Plan. The 20-year plan will focus on investment in Downtown’s parks and public spaces to enhance the quality of life, and create a sustainable, vibrant downtown that is economically healthy and growing. 

4. Pres. Trump heads to Puerto Rico
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump will fly to Puerto Rico today, where they'll get a first-hand look at devastation from Hurricane Maria. Tomorrow, they'll head to Las Vegas.

5. The sun comes out
We're off to a chilly start Tuesday -- mostly sunny with highs in the 40s in the mountains and 50s for Denver and the eastern plains.
