LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Going to the hospital to undergo surgery is nerve-wracking, but sometimes the right piece of music is all you need to relax.

That’s why Dr. Ross at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital in Lakewood takes his guitar to work.

Dr. Ross uses his musical skills to sooth anxious animals when they come in for operations, and it seems to be working.

The hospital posted a video on Facebook last week of Dr. Ross serenading a dog named Ruby to the Elvis Presley classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love” while she lies calmly between his legs. The video has since been watched nearly 500,000 times.

Way to go, Dr. Ross!
