Lakewood police look for suspect after belligerent bar customer ends up dead

Police believe victim was involved in fight

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Lakewood police have made one arrest and are seeking a second man in connection with the slaying in the parking lot of a bar early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the Nite Owl Sports Bar and Grill at 1050 S. Wadsworth Blvd. at 1:30 a.m.,  to investigate reports of a man down in the parking lot.  They found an injured 34-year-old man who was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Upon further investigation, detectives learned the victim had been asked to leave the bar after becoming belligerent with other patrons.  The victim returned for a short time and again was escorted out.

A fight broke out in the parking lot between the man and two other men.  Police arrested 46-year-old Thomas John Perez, following an investigation.  They are looking for a second suspect, identified as 29-year-old Vincente Matthew Baros.   He has a large Denver Broncos "D" and stallion tattooed on his neck.

Police said Baros has an arrest warrant for second-degree murder in connection with the slaying.
