FOUNTAIN, Colo. -- A local coach is facing charges of sexually assaulting a teen multiple times. Officers suspect there may be additional victims.
An investigation sparked Monday after a 15-year-old came forward to detectives of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office alleging multiple sexual assaults at different locations by the teen's coach.
Tuesday, investigation progressed enough for police to arrest and book Thompson over sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust -- a class 3 felony.
The coach, who is active in the Colorado Springs area as a kickboxing and Muay Thai instructor, has been jailed without bail.
Investigation will continue, however police are asking anybody with any information on additional victims or new details to call investigators at (719) 520-7231.
