Joseph Palmer, 25, killed in single-car crash in Loveland early Sunday morning

LOVELAND, Colo. - A Loveland man was killed in a single-car crash on West 8th Street Sunday morning.

Joseph Palmer died after Cameron Soule lost control of the Hyundai sedan at about 1:20 a.m.

The Hyundai went through the front yards of two homes and slammed into a power pole, according to the Loveland Police Department.

The force of the impact threw Palmer from the car.

Soule, 19, was also transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies but the extent of his injuries has not been released.

West 8th Street was closed for approximately 5 hours for the Technical Accident Investigation Team to finish the on-scene investigation.

Speed is suspected as a contributing factor to the accident, investigators said.  Alcohol and drugs are not suspected.
