Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responds to 55 smoke, fire checks after lightning storm Sunday

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. - Deputies in Jefferson County said they responded to more than four dozen calls Sunday about possible fires started by lightning.
Of the 55 calls, two were confirmed fires, officials said on social media.
A fire in a tree near 8700 Ault Lane and fires in two trees near 6280 Valley Drive were both blamed on lightning.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's office said both fires were extinguished quickly.
