GREELEY, Colo. - A 32-year-old man from Des Moines, Iowa pleaded guilty in Weld County Court Wednesday to charges connected with a hidden camera set up inside a family changing room at Family FunPlex at 501 65th Ave.
A woman discovered the hidden camera on July 29, 2012 inside a fake air freshener at the recreation center, mounted on a wall of the changing room. Greeley police investigators removed the camera and were able to retrieve images of Justin Robert West setting up the camera.
West was eventually traced to Iowa where he was arrested and extradited to Colorado.
"Our investigation indicates West has been traveling to different states and attending various arts and crafts sites with his family," Greeley police said when West was located.
As part of a plea bargain, West pleaded guilty Wednesday to a single count of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, a class-six felony; and one count of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, a class-one misdemeanor.
West will be sentenced on March 6.
