BOULDER, Colo. – Investigators are searching a landfill Thursday in Arkansas in connection to the murder and dismemberment of Boulder mom Ashley Mead.

Homicide detectives with the Boulder Police Department are searching for evidence at a landfill in Morrilton, Arkansas, although it’s not clear what type of evidence they’re seeking.

Adam Densmore, the father of Mead's child, was arrested February 15 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on charges of first-degree murder.

Investigators believe Densmore killed the 25-year-old mother in Boulder in early February and then traveled to Shreveport, Louisiana, where he allegedly partially dismembered the victim’s body.

Police say Densmore discarded the victim’s remains in a variety of communities he passed through after the homicide. The victim’s torso was discovered in Okmulgee, where the Densmore was arrested.

Thursday’s landfill search is close to where police say Densmore stopped the night of February 14 as traveled back to Colorado.
