Hundreds gather for Memorial Day services at Fort Logan National Cemetery

DENVER - Hundreds of people at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Monday paid tribute to service members who died serving their country.

Among those who participated in Monday's Memorial Day ceremony were Gov. John Hickenlooper, Sen. Mark Udall and a representative of the Veterans Health Administration from Washington, D.C., Dr. Robert L. Jesse.

The ceremony featured a rifle salute to fallen veterans.

There are 17 memorials at the cemetery in Denver, most commemorating soldiers who fought 20th century wars.
