Huge Pueblo blaze hits several downtown businesses

PUEBLO, Colo. - A Tuesday evening fire in downtown Pueblo hit five downtown businesses connected by a common hallway or attic.

The Pueblo Chieftain reported ( ) that firefighters were concerned because one of the affected businesses -- Johnson's Sport & Ski -- contained ammunition.  It burned and ignited without injury to firefighters.

KRDO TV reported that the fire broke out at about 6:45 p.m. at an office supply store.  The fire was still throwing off huge plumes of smoke at 10 p.m.

Firefighters told KRDO TV they will likely remain on the scene overnight.
