Woman says dog woke her up during house fire east of Parker early Monday morning

ELBERT COUNTY, Colo. - A woman says her dog woke her up during an early morning fire at her home east of Parker Monday.

The woman and her pets got out safely, but the living room, the garage and a car were destroyed. A truck outside was heavily damaged.

Officials said when they arrived, flames were raging through the home at 446 Meadow Station Cir. That's southeast of Main St. and Delbert Rd. in Elbert County.

Fire crews were able to save about 80 percent of the home, officials on scene told 7NEWS Photojournalist Eric Lupher.
