FORT CARSON, Colo - A homecoming ceremony for approximately 30 Fort Carson soldiers will be held Monday night.
The 749th Ordnance Company, 242nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion, 71st Ordnance Group spent the last nine months in Afghanistan.
The company trained other U.S. soldiers and members of the Afghan Special security forces to deal with improvised explosives.
The company supported more than 520 missions across an area covering more than 170,000 square miles, Army officials said.
The 749th Ord. rendered safe more than 110 IEDs and disposed of 22,000 pounds of explosive hazards.
The ceremony will be held at the Special Events Center on post at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
