High school student charged with sexually assaulting another student at Montbello High School

DENVER - A Montbello High School student is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting another student in the Denver high school.

Paris Bonds, 19, is accused of approaching the victim in the band room, touching her inappropriately and attempting to sexually assault her.

"The incident came to light after the victim disclosed what had happened to a therapist," wrote District Attorney Mitch Morrissey's office in a press release.

The release didn't specify when the alleged assault occurred, saying only that it happened "earlier this year."

Bonds was charged Wednesday with sexual contact-no consent and attempted sexual assault, both felonies. He is also charged with misdemeanor harassment.

He was arrested last Friday and is being held on $50,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday in Denver County Courtroom 2100.

Investigators are concerned there could be additional victims, the DA's office wrote. Anyone with information about Bonds should call Denver Police at 720-913-6040.
