Helping after the Hurricanes: Colorado raises $28,670 with Denver7 through telethon

DENVER — A massive and devastating hurricane slammed into Texas. Just days later, another set its sights on Florida. Hundreds of thousands are expected need help for quite some time.

Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida on Saturday, knocking out power for millions. Meanwhile, recovery efforts continue after Hurricane Harvey slammed into Texas, and Coloradans are wondering what they can do to help.

Denver7 held a phone bank-style telethon on Monday, and with the help of the Colorado community, we've raised $28,670 to help victims of both hurricanes.

With the help of the Red Cross, those in Colorado, are sending tens of thousands of dollars to victims in need, and we thank you for your efforts.
