The Denver Rescue Mission needs your help as the holiday season approaches..

With less than two weeks to go before Thanksgiving, the mission has collected just 76 donated turkeys. The organization has received requested for 18,000 turkeys.

The Rescue Mission is also collecting non-perishable food items to be used in holiday food boxes. Donations needs include: canned pumpkin, instant potatoes, canned yams, canned vegetables, canned fruit, stuffing mix, and cornbread mix.

Donations can be dropped off until Nov. 20 at the Lawrence Street Shelter, 1130 Park Ave. West from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Ministry Outreach Center, 3501 E. 46th Ave., is also accepting donations. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
