DENVER – Good morning, everyone! Here’s what you need to know today on Wednesday, Sep. 27.

1. 'Dead as a doornail'
That's how GOP Sen. John Kennedy of La. describes his party's latest push to repeal and replace 'Obamacare,' which Republican leaders abandoned, lacking key votes.

2. Puerto Rico hurricane destruction gets Trump's attention
The president announces plans to visit the U.S. territory and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where storms demolished much of the infrastructure.

3. Denver Startup Week job fair
Looking to work for an up-and-coming company in the Denver area? Meet with representatives from nearly 100 businesses at the Denver Startup Week job fair from 6 to 10 p.m. at the McNichols Buildling, 144 W. Colfax Ave.

4. Nationwide FEMA drill
You may get a call from FEMA around noon today as part of a test of the nationwide emergency system. The drill should only last for a minute.

5. Cooler weather continues
The skies will remain mostly cloudy early Wednesday morning with lows in the 40s.  Some light snow will fall along and east of the Divide at elevations above 10,000 feet.
