WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- Highway 66 in Weld was closed for several hours Monday following a fatal head-on crash.
Troopers say a vehicle was headed westbound around 4 p.m. when the driver crossed over the median for an unknown reason and onto oncoming traffic.
The driver that went over the median was killed when the driver’s vehicle slammed head-on into another car. It’s not known if there were any other injuries or deaths in the other vehicle.
