The principal and assistant principal at Greeley West High School were both put on administrative leave Monday.

Greeley-Evans School District 6 is conducting an internal investigation into Principal Shelli Robins and Assistant Principal John Diebold, according to district spokesperson Theresa Myers.

The administrators were asked to leave the school Monday morning, according to Myers.

"Principal Shelli Robins and Assistant Principal John Diebold were placed on administrative leave today," according to a statement from Greeley-Evans School District 6. "District 6 administrators are looking into allegations of irregularities in the administration of parent surveys. The investigation does not involve any outside agencies, nor do the allegations impact the safety of students or the school community."

The parent surveys go out once a year and are presented to the Board of Education, school district officials said. They are also used as part of the Principal's evaluation.

The Greeley Tribune reported that the surveys ask parents whether they agreed with some basic statements, such as:

  • My child’s school is safe
  • I feel welcome at the school
  • I know how my child is doing in school
  • My child’s classes are challenging
  • When I have questions or concerns, I contact school personnel for assistance

Myers told Denver7 this year's survey was the same as the past few years.
