GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – A natural gas line leak forced authorities to evacuate several businesses near the Arapahoe Marketplace Shopping Center Thursday afternoon.
The leak was discovered around 1:20 p.m.
Police evacuated businesses on the outer area of the Arapahoe Marketplace Shopping Center. Those included Chase Bank, Torchy’s Tacos, Boston Market, and Red Robin.
The gas line leak is located on East Arapahoe Road in front of the Torchy’s Tacos, a South Metro Fire Rescue spokesperson said. Westbound Arapahoe Road was closed for more than an hour while the leak was repaired.

By 3:15 p.m., the leak had been repaired and the road had reopened.

But Boston Market and Red Robin were still closed, police said.
